Prof Jesús Peña-Vinces, he is a professor of Business and Economics sciences at the Universidad de Sevilla. He has been Visiting Research Associate at the University of Oxford (LAC- School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies). Visiting scholar at the University of Houston and visiting faculty of Emerging Markets Institute at Cornell University. Also; he is a visiting professor at several universities in Latin-America. Furthermore, he has been a consultant for various regional governments of South America. Before starting his academic career, he was a businessman in the wood industry (Lima-Perú). His research topics are focused on competitiveness (economic policy and strategy), development-sustainability, human capital and research methods (SEM, OLS, DEA, etc.) He has published in top-tier journals such as The Journal of Technology Transfer; Resources, Conservation & Recycling; Small Business Economics, Technological and Economic Development of the Economy; Economic Systems, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Management Decision, International Entrepreneurship Management Journal, among others. Additionally, he is an Associate Editor (Area Editor) for the journals: Environment, Development and Sustainability and the Journal of Distribution Science and Editorial Advisory Board for the journal Management of Environmental Quality.
